Motherwell boss Mark McGhee hopes to sign Rangers misfit Alan Gow as a replacement for Ross McCormack after he joined Cardiff.McCormack completed his switch to the FA Cup runners-up on Saturday, and McGhee is eager to find a quality replacement for the 21-year-old.
Scotland B forward Gow, 25, turned down a move to Burnley recently and has also been targeted by Norwich, but that deal remains incomplete.
McGhee told the Daily Record: "If Alan has turned down the chance to join Norwich I'm definitely interested in getting him from Motherwell.
"I've spoken to Walter Smith about the player before now and I'll be speaking to him again."
