Striker turned pundit Mark Bright tells us how he woos the ladies.

FOOTBALL Mark Bright - 0

What is your earliest sporting memory?

Me and my brother getting new football strips and a ball at Christmas. We couldn't go outside and play in them though because it was snowing.

Which opponent did you most enjoy beating?

Any of the big teams really. I scored two at Old Trafford once, and we (Crystal Palace) won 2-1. That was the only time I ever won there.

What's the worst place you've ever visited?

The old stadium at Crewe. The changing room had a sloped roof and it was tiny. You couldn't get 11 men in there changing all at the same time.

What's the best freebie you've ever blagged?

A car. When I was at Palace, I asked this guy for one and he eventually said yes, but I had to have his dealership's name across the side.

What's the first car you ever had?

Austin Morris 1100 - blue. The bollocks it was.

What's your culinary speciality?

I'm very good at cooking pasta. If I was going to impress a girl I'd cook her spaghetti arrabiata. Any girl that comes round and has that, she's getting Brightied!

Have you ever been fixed up on a blind date?

I'm sure I have, but I can't remember.

What would you sing at karaoke?

We used to have a karaoke machine at my house, and I remember singing Purple Rain first. I got down on my knees and everything.

What grinds your gears?

People using their mobile phones while they're driving.

What's your most extravagant purchase?

I had one of the first mobile phones. It was a big, Gordon Gekko thing, it must have cost about a grand.

If you were Prime Minister for a day, what would be the first law you'd pass?

I'd give everyone in work over 50 years of age a million pounds and tell them to retire, pay off their mortgage and buy only British-made goods, to stimulate the housing market and economy in one go.

Mark Bright was speaking to Tony Mabert at a charity football match at Stamford Bridge in aid of the Cystic Fibrosis Trust. To find out more go to www.cftrust.org.uk
