Ligue 1 - Lucho set for big-money Marseille move

Argentina midfielder Lucho Gonzalez is set to join Ligue 1 side Marseille from Porto in a deal worth up to 24 million euros.

L'OM stated on their website that he will sign a four-year deal with last season's runners-up.

"There is an agreement on the principle but it's still pending the traditional medical tests", Marseille stated.

The 28-year-old, who has played 43 times for Argentina, was a top target for new coach Didier Deschamps.

  2. Absolutely great player for Porto, if he does join­ Marseille that would be great for them. They would need­ to try and find a way of giving him a free role for him­ to shine.
