Aldershot have said goodbye to physio Jim Joyce while announcing the appointment of conditioning coach Sean Faulkner.

Joyce is leaving to team up once again with Russell Slade, this time at Brighton after the pair previously worked together at Yeovil.

Shots boss Gary Waddock told the club's official website: "I am really disappointed he is leaving. He has taken the physiotherapy department onto a different level with the experience that he brought to the club.

"We will all miss him because not only is he an excellent physio, but he is a top-class fellow too but this is a wonderful opportunity for him and we couldn't stand in his way."

Faulkner's arrival is not as a replacement for Joyce, as he will work alongside current fitness coach Russell Clash.

Waddock added: "We have advertised the position and for the interim period we will have a temporary physio working with the lads."
