Winger Matty Robson has completed his move to Carlisle following his departure from Hartlepool.

Robson, who turned down a new contract to stay at Victoria Park at the end of the season, has agreed a two-year deal at Brunton Park.

The 24-year-old joined Pools as a trainee and made over 150 appearances, scoring 10 goals in his seven seasons at the club.

Carlisle boss Greg Abbott said: "Matt comes with pace and energy and he is an important part of the jigsaw for us.

"He is a genuine left-sided player who can play a big part, and I'm looking forward to working with him for the next couple of years."
