Brentford are closing in on the signing of Myles Weston after Notts County boss Ian McParland admitted defeat in his efforts to keep the winger.
County have rejected the Bees' offer for Weston, but he is out of contract and free to move with a fee being settled by a tribunal.
McParland had hoped to persuade the club's Young Player of the Year to stay, but it looks as though Weston will be swapping Meadow Lane for Griffin Park.
"We were looking forward to helping Myles make further progression, but although we made him a very good offer to stay, it seems he no longer wants to play for us," McParland told the club's official website.
"I haven't had a phone call from Myles to say so, but we are not expecting him to report for training with the other lads."
