Paul Robinson got his first run-out in a Blackburn shirt as Northwich Victoria were beaten 2-1 by Rovers' reserves at the Marston's Arena.Robinson became Paul Ince's first signing since taking the Ewood Park reins when he made the move from Tottenham last week, and the England goalkeeper was handed his first start against non-league Northwich.
The Blue Square Premier side actually took the lead through Joel Byrom in the 31st minute but a Paul Gallagher strike on 50 and an own goal from Matt Bailey nine minutes later gave Rovers' second string the win.
Robbie Fowler partnered Benni McCarthy in attack, with Zurab Khizanishvili, Matt Derbyshire and Gallagher the other first-team stars on show.

INCE OUT! WE R S**T!
Ive seen a little footage courtesy of Sky and i have to say that paul robinsom doesn't actually even look in that good a shape! as for the other key players i have to say that they should be ashamed! ive heard rumours from the 'camp' that there is great unrest and that paul ince and the players are not a solid unit, each travelling separately to games as well as people not turning up to training!! all in all it is very worrying!!!
big names that played in that match and we struggled to beat NORTHWICH VICTORIA? Sorry Paul Ince but you need to give them a kick up the arse and pull your own finger out if your going to do well this season.
Five first team players and we struggle to beat Northwich Victoria - seems like there's a lot of work to be done - quickly
