Shrewsbury manager Paul Simpson hopes to sign two more players before their final pre-season friendly against Stoke this Saturday. The Shrews would take one of the signings on loan while the other would be a permanent move.
Two deals would take the number of summer signings to eight, and Simpson is happy with the set up of his squad..
He told BBC Radio Shropshire: "I'm hopeful I can get one or both in before the weekend.
"I'm pleased with the new signings, but I'm also pleased with the way the rest of the squad has responded.
"Everyone has worked really hard, and while having perhaps 24 players vying for a first-team place is a headache, it's a nice headache to have."
