Andrei Arshavin's agent claims the Russian has decided he wants to join Tottenham.
Spurs boss Juande Ramos is lining up a move for the Euro 2008 star as he looks to bolster his squad following the sale of Robbie Keane to Liverpool.
And while agent Dennis Lachter claims Arshavin wants to move to White Hart Lane, he says Spurs are no closer to agreeing a fee with Zenit St Petersburg.
He told skysports.com: "At this point there is some talks with Tottenham, but nothing complete because of the high fee Zenit want for Andrei.
"The gap is huge between the two clubs as Zenit are looking for a lot of money for Andrei.
"Juande Ramos very much wants to sign Andrei as he is his number one target and Daniel Levy is doing everthing to make the deal, but it is difficult to agree a fee with Zenit.
"Ramos has been following Andrei from his time in charge of Sevilla and also from last season's Uefa Cup run when Andrei was the outstanding player in the tournament.
"Andrei has made it known he wants to leave Zenit and the player has made his decision he would like to go to Tottenham.
"He likes the way Tottenham play football and he is a big admirer of Ramos."

wait and see... i have a feeling that if Arshavin join Spurs at all, he will turn out to be a very good player for us indeed.
He knows he'll get playing time at Tottenham. At one of the big four he'd have to share. Question is if Tottenham have the ambition to go for him, or if they just want to keep making money by building up young players and then selling them off.
arshavin earns 2.5 Mio. at Zenit, money always matters but i think the main reason for him is to play (in any other club than Zenit) in EPL because its the best league in the world.
i pity him he wanted barca move but his club wanted big money and barca bought hleb.he turn to arsenal but wenger won't break the bank for him.now he will go to spurs because he has already told his friends he will not play in russia next season.poor Andrei Arshavin your club is your problem.

The club he wanted most to join, is Barc, Gunner is another option for him, now it seems that Barc bought Hleb and Gunner bought Nasri. Things won't happen as he hoped.
So he has to suck it up. He wish things as work out as Robbie Keane or Dimitar Berbatov.

Not so long ago he desperately wanted to play for Arsenal (do a search and you'll find the story).
I think he just wants to play in the EPL (and earn loads of money) before he gets too old.
