John Trewick remains undecided on the future of striker Benedict Akwuegbu, who is on trial at the League Two club.
The 35-year-old, who featured for Nigeria against England in the 2002 World Cup, played for the Bulls in Tuesday night's 2-1 pre-season defeat to Bristol Rovers.
Manager Trewick insists Akwuegbu has the ability to shine this season but admits question marks remain over his fitness.
"He can certainly play the game as he is a powerful boy who is good in the air with a good strike," Trewick told BBC Hereford and Worcester.
"Whether he can regain that fitness is a guess but I am going to go along with him for a while and see what develops."
Akwuegbu is one of several trialists currently at Edgar Street and Trewick has revealed he will give them a little bit more time before deciding if anyone is worthy of a contract.
