Lyon visit St Etienne with a depleted defence in a Ligue 1 derby on Sunday.

Left-back Fabio Grosso (pictured left) is suspended while fellow-Italian Massimo Oddo has finally moved to Bayern Munich.

The seven-times French champions hoped they would sign Oddo from Milan to replace France right back Francois Clerc, who is out for up to six months after rupturing a ligament in his left knee.

"We agreed the deal with Milan but Bayern dealt directly with the player. The plane we had sent to pick him up came back empty. I am disappointed," Lyon's chairman Jean-Michel Aulas said.

Lamine Gassama should make his Ligue 1 debut at right-back while Ghanian centre-back John Mensah is still nursing a sore calf.
