Championship - Trio chasing Ghaly

Birmingham, Bristol City and Sheffield United are interested in signing Tottenham's Hossam Ghaly on loan, according to the player's agent.

Bryan Yeubrey, the Egyptian international's representative, has confirmed Ghaly wants to join a Championship side and there are three in contention.

Yeubrey told EgyptianPlayers.com: "A number of clubs are interested but the front runners are Birmingham City, Bristol City and Sheffield United.

"I expect a loan offer will come his way in the coming days."

Ghaly joined Spurs from Feyenoord in January 2006, but it is more than twelve months since he last appeared for the White Hart Lane club.

He spent the second half of the 2007-08 season on loan at Derby, where he made a total of 16 appearances in all competitions.
