Bradford City manager Stuart McCall has ruled out bringing in a defender on loan despite the injury problems at Valley Parade.

McCall has decided against drafting in temporary cover for injured pair Paul Arnison and TJ Moncur, who will both miss next weekend's home clash with Luton.

McCall said: "Both Arny and TJ will be alright for the week after, so for us to get a young kid in for just one game would be unfair on both the player and his team.

"I can't see anybody wanting to come to us in that situation.

"We'll have a look in training and in the reserve game on Tuesday night and then see where we go."

Summer signing Arnison is struggling with a calf injury while Moncur, on loan from Fulham, suffered concussion after clashing heads with captain Graeme Lee in the warm-up before Saturday's defeat at Shrewsbury.
