Premier League - Ferguson upbeat on Hargreaves

Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson has issued an upbeat bulletin on the fitness of Owen Hargreaves.

The England midfielder has been sidelined for more than a year following surgery on both knees to remedy a tendinitis problem that has blighted his career.

Hargreaves has returned to United's training complex to step up his rehabilitation and Ferguson feels there is now light at the end of the tunnel for the 28-year-old.

"Owen is doing very well," said Ferguson.

"Obviously he is delighted to be back because it has been such a long time and I am very pleased with his progress.

"We will probably get him in to football training in 10 days' time and depending on how well he does he should be back at the beginning of November."

    he was a big mistake,waste of money.united threw a big­ amount of money into the fire by hiring him and dimitar­ berbatov,hargreaves is a injury prone player and­ berbatov is just a scarecrow.about $ 50/000/000 for­ this bulgarian lazy moron and about ­ $30/000/000 for that man who lives in hospital.whit­ this $ 80/000/000 i can buy Hull city FC players,and at­ least one of those 30 players can score 1 goal against­ liverpool.
