Ipswich manager Roy Keane refused to blame bad luck after watching his side blow a two-goal lead at Sheffield United.
The Blades claimed a 3-3 draw at Bramall Lane thanks to Chris Morgan's injury-time equaliser as Ipswich were denied their first win of the season.
The visitors looked to be heading for their first win of the campaign after goals from Jon Walters, Grant Leadbitter and Gareth McCauley cancelled out an early Darius Henderson opener.
But the Blades fought back with Henderson's second and finally in the dying minutes Morgan scrambled the ball home for United leaving the Tractor Boys bottom of the table.
Keane said: "It was close but not close enough but it's got nothing to do with luck.
"We were 3-1 up and should have seen the game out but it was two bad goals to concede. We gave the ball away cheaply and gave it away."
