Premier League - No more Dawson punishment

Eurosport - Thu, 30 Oct 22:39:00 2008

Tottenham defender Michael Dawson has escaped further suspension but received a warning as to his future conduct following his sending-off against Stoke City.

FOOTBALL Tottenham Hotspur Michael Dawson - 0

Dawson was charged with improper conduct for protesting about his dismissal in Tottenham's 2-1 defeat at the Britannia Stadium on October 19.

The 24-year-old could have been banned for an additional two matches on top of the three already incurred for the initial red card, which he received for a dangerous challenge on Mamady Sidibe.

However, after the player requested a personal hearing, an independent regulatory commission decided on a warning.
