Popov decided to leave only six weeks after replacing Nikola Spasov, saying he could not achieve the results he wanted.

The Varna-based club, who were third last season - their highest finish since 1954, are sixth in the standings with 15 points from 11 matches.

"If someone should take the responsibility, it's the coach," Popov said after the game in Blagoevgrad.
