Jones welcomes Strachan move

Middlesbrough goalkeeper Brad Jones believes the appointment of Gordon Strachan will get the players out of their "comfort zone".

Boro welcome Plymouth to the Riverside in Strachan's first game in charge on Saturday, and Jones says the new manager has already made a big impression on the training ground.

"Everybody has been treading on eggshells this week because it's a new manager and we all want to do well," he told Evening Gazette.

"Everybody is wondering whether the manager will like them and will include them in the team.

"It's got everybody on their toes but I think that's probably a good thing.

"He will rattle a few people and will take us out of the comfort zone."
