Cardiff striker Jay Bothroyd has denied any link with Aston Villa and has reiterated his determination to play in the Premier League with the Bluebirds.
The 27-year-old has been in fantastic form this season which has led to speculation that Martin O'Neill may be tempted to move for the striker to bolster his attacking options in January.
"I'm very flattered to be linked with someone like Aston Villa but I'm happy at Cardiff," Bothroyd told Wales Online.
"If you're doing well any player is going to have other teams looking at them. I definitely think there are players who can play at the Premiership at this club, including myself, but we are where we are for a reason.
"It's never been about my ability, perhaps it's been about my attitude. I think I've changed as a person now. I want to play at the highest level as soon as possible. At the moment I want to be at Cardiff."

''No villa move for bothroyd''
woohoo, thank god for that!!!
if he is scoring goals and making them 4 other players and has no injuires then why not give him a chance after all we got the donkey hesky and he is at the finishing post in his career. so why not get a player who has the talent and proven skills to replce him
eh? We don't need a championship striker, we need a 20-a-season striker, which, with respect to Mr Bothroyd, I doubt he is.
