Ipswich will be without defender Gareth McAuley as they look for their long-awaited first win of the season against Derby.
Northern Ireland international McAuley is set for a fortnight on the sidelines after picking up a thigh injury in last weekend's 1-1 draw at Plymouth so Alex Bruce should return.
Bruce is fully fit after a recent groin problem and replaced McAuley at Home Park.
Manager Roy Keane saw forward Jon Walters come through the full 90 minutes last weekend despite a sprained ankle and he will continue but 16-year-old forward Connor Wickham is away with the England Under-17 squad.
Midfielder David Norris remains sidelined with his serious knee injury, while Argentinian winger Luciano Civelli is also yet to feature this season as he recovers from his knee ligament damage.

As QPR soar to the top of the Championship on the back of fast, direct play full of slick passing and off-the ball endeavour capped with a host of quality goals... Town spiral down to League 1 (could they get less points than Derby did in the Premiership) with a majority of posession but little direction and purpose. Who thinks that Marcus Evans is a saviour now... and that Jim Magilton is a 'turnip-head'..... well done Jim many of us didn't want you to go. Let's see if the Tractor Boys can do as well against Derby as QPR did last week and seen (like Ipswich v. Newcastle... what an embarassment) by the nation on TV.
