Will Willie Gallas follow in the footsteps of Willie Young and become the second carthorse central defender to play for both North London clubs?
According to the Sunday Mirror, Harry Redknapp is set to make an audacious swoop for the controversial French defender in the January transfer window.
For those who don't remember Young, he was a large, physically intimidating ginger Scot who went from Spurs to Arsenal and then broke the heart of an 11-year-old Paul Allen by hacking down the West Ham toddler in the 1980 FA Cup final when he was bearing down on goal.
And of course Spurs' move for Gallas revives memories of Sol Campbell's switch from White Hart Lane to join the Gunners in 2001 - a transfer about as popular around Tottenham as the DVD of Paolo Tramezzani's great Premier League moments.
But the path from N5 to N17 is a rarely trodden one. GS thinks the last player to move directly from Arsenal to Spurs was Rohan Ricketts - and he is now playing in Toronto.
The Daily Star say that Wenger is under growing pressure from the Arsenal board to ditch Gallas with both Paris Saint-Germain and Milan also in the hunt for the guy who sounds like he gargles iron filings.
While Wenger has admitted for the first time that he should have spent more of his £30 million transfer kitty last summer, more than one tabloid believes he will revert to type and buy an exceptionally quick man-toddler you've never heard of in January.
FC Twente winger Eljero Elia - a Dutch U21 international - is the no-name in question.
As for 'Arry, the News of the World says that he has lost interest in Bayern Munich's Lukas Podolski but is after Stewart Downing and Elano.
Elano has been left on the bench at Manchester City to accommodate Robinho and Shaun Wright-Phillips and Redknapp thinks the Brazilian and Luka Modric can dovetail to form the most lily-livered midfield in the Premier League for Spurs.
Returning to Podolski, who has confirmed he will be leaving the German giants by handing in a transfer request, and it's Everton who have started moves to bring him to Goodison Park according to the NOTW.
A bid of just under £10 million should be sufficient with David Moyes whispered to be concerned about sick note Louis Saha and sick note junior James Vaughan.
The Screws says Middlesbrough are ready to spark a three-way scrap for Downing by selling the winger in January.
Anyone who may have watched him for England may think it is Darlington, Hartlepool and Blyth Spartans in the mix - but apparently it's Spurs, Liverpool and Manchester City.
Standard Liege's 20-year-old midfielder Steven Defour is a target for Boro with Mido likely to be culled during the transfer window.
Joe Kinnear has been told he has no money to spend at Newcastle and he fears Michael Owen will return to Liverpool in a £2 million deal.
And the Express is adamant that Carlos Tevez is heading for Real Madrid as Manchester United continue to delay signing the Argentinian striker on a permanent deal.
Sir Alex Ferguson is also still on the trail of Lyon's French international striker Karim Benzema, just in case Tevez departs.

I hope we dont waste money on owen, he is WAY past his best, he was on the decline when he left Liverpool let alone now.
Bring back Crouchy all is forgiven
lol spurs want an arsenal reject - they have fallen lower than I thought they already were
Spurs are welcome to have GALLAS - The mighty Arsenal deserve better then him let them have the Arsenal reject - am I bovvered? nope!
d.taylor456 signing of his career? I would have thought Fernando Torres personally. I wouldn't mind if Owen came back to Anfield but would not like to see more than 2m spent as he gets injured too often these day's.
God riddence to Gallas,Sooner he goes the better.
Not gnna happen pal!
The thought of Owen returning to Liverpool must sound great to some of the Liverpool faithful, but surely there's doubts whether this guy can physically withstand the grueling schedule of the Liverpool first team which surely eludes many a genuine supporter; Owen all to often plays up to his "sick note certificate" and to many is a mere shadow of his former self, why would Liverpool pay any fee for someone who sits in healthcare most of the season, I personally doubt if Liverpool would waste good money on a outclassed player like Owen...
Michael Owen will return to Liverpool he must and liverpool fans will wellcome him.He knows that he should not left liverpool in the 1st place so he got to prof to liverpool and he play at his bast
owen to liverpool, would see the total collapse of liverpools title challenge.
Owen is way past his best.
Ledley King and Kolo Toure Arsenal's new CB pair, they are neighbours after all :D (I think I've read that somewhere)
