Bristol City goalkeeper Adriano Basso's future is in serious doubt after he was told to keep away from the match against Sheffield United on Saturday.
The Brazilian was placed on the transfer list after refusing to sign a new contract in July and this week reportedly said he wanted to leave the club in January.
"Unless someone is 100% behind what we're doing then they're not going to be involved," manager Gary Johnson told BBC Radio Bristol.
"I asked him to not to come to the game as I didn't think he was going to be part of it, in his head as much as well as anything else."
Having tried to convince Basso to stay at Ashton Gate, the club are now resigned to losing him and say they will inform him immediately if any offers come in.
