Hill proud of Dale away record

Sun 30 Dec, 04:30 PM

Rochdale boss Keith Hill hailed his side's remarkable away record after they came from two goals down to snatch a 2-2 draw at Macclesfield.First-half goals from Levi Reid and Gareth Evans had put the Silkmen in control, but Dale hit back through a Luke Dimech own goal and a Glenn Murray header.

Dale have still only lost twice away from home in 2007, but Hill played down any talk of promotion.

"There are a lot of big money teams in this league with many more resources," he said.

"It was a 'never say die' performance and we were much better in the second half though in the first half we underestimated the opposition.

"Adam Le Fondre could have had the match ball as a second-half substitute, he had that many chances."
