Chesterfield have rejected an offer of £100,000 from League One outfit Brighton and Hove Albion for captain Peter Leven.The Scottish midfielder, who joined the Spireites from Kilmarnock in the summer, was the subject of a £50,000 bid by Brighton earlier in the week.
But promotion-chasing Chesterfield have also turned down the improved offer for the player who started his career at Rangers.
