Southampton midfielder Andrew Surman has been named in Stuart Pearce's Under-21 squad for the clash with the Republic of Ireland at St Mary's.The highly-rated youngster is hoping to earn his third cap in the 2009 European Championship qualifier in front of his home fans next Tuesday.

"I'm delighted to be included in the squad and it would be great if I get to play a part," he said.

"It would be a dream to play for England on my home ground but I am not taking anything for granted."
