SPL - Everton sign Jelavic from Rangers
Everton have completed the signing of Rangers striker Nikica Jelavic with the Ibrox club having a bid rejected by Norwich for Grant Holt.
The 26-year-old Croatia international completed a medical at Everton's Finch Farm training complex on deadline day and has signed a four-and-a-half year deal.
He was presented to the Goodison Park crowd at half-time during Everton's 1-0 Premier League win against Manchester City.
No details of the fee have been revealed but Rangers were thought to value the player at £8 million, having previously rejected a £7 million package from West Ham.
A report on the club's website read: "Everton have completed the signing of Nikica Jelavic from Rangers. The 26-year-old striker joins the Blues on a four-and-a-half-year deal for an undisclosed fee."
Ibrox boss Ally McCoist made a move for Canaries captain Holt to replace Jelavic.
However, the Scottish champions failed in their attempt to bring the 30-year-old to Ibrox.
