Burnley striker Kyle Lafferty is aiming to move into double figures before the end of the season after scoring in the win over Barnsley.Lafferty, 20, took his tally to eight in Saturday's 2-1 win, following his midweek brace for Northern Ireland against Georgia.
He said: "I'd like to finish the season in double figures, and I think that would push us into the play-offs, but we'll have to see how it goes.
"I had a dip around January but I like to think I'm playing better football now."
Team-mate Jon Harley insists Lafferty's goalscoring exploits for Northern Ireland have helped to keep the Clarets' play-off bid alive.
Lafferty has spent most of the season out on the left wing but a brace of goals for his country in midweek against Georgia persuaded Burnley boss Owen Coyle to play him up front against Barnsley.
Harley said: "The goals he got in the week (for Northern Ireland) have been a real boost for him and the club.
"The lad has come back flying with the great goal he scored on Saturday. I was right behind it and it was a fantastic strike."
