Commons misses Cumbrians clash

Mon 31 Mar, 05:00 PM

Nottingham Forest manager Colin Calderwood is set to be without Kris Commons for the visit to fellow League One promotion rivals Carlisle.Commons failed a late fitness test prior to Friday's 1-0 defeat against Doncaster and is likely to miss the crucial clash against the Cumbrians with a thigh strain.

On-loan goalkeeper Dimitrios Konstantopoulos is also sidelined after rupturing his Achilles in his first training session at the club.

Konstantopoulos has been ruled out for the rest of the season after signing from Coventry, so Paul Smith will retain his place in the starting XI.

James Perch completes the final game of a three-match suspension, while winger Arron Davies (hamstring) will miss out again.

Striker Brett Ormerod received a facial injury in the Doncaster defeat, but despite requiring stitches, the striker is back in contention as Calderwood's men aim to halt a run of back-to-back defeats.
