Money maintains play-off hope

Mon 31 Mar, 08:45 PM

Walsall manager Richard Money believes his side are still capable of clinching a League One play-off spot despite their recent slump in form. The Saddlers have slipped out of the top six after taking just two points from a possible 18 in their last six matches.

Money's side are now five points adrift of the play-offs but he believes the gap is a bridgeable one.

"I am absolutely not giving up on the play-offs because there is 18 points to play for," said the Walsall boss. "Whilst we have got enough points to play for, we will continue to play for them.

"If we win the last six games that will give us enough to finish in the top six and why would I want to give up on something that is still there to be had?

"The task is no more difficult now than it has ever been, even when we were fifth in the table."
