Pools boss hampered by injuries

Mon 31 Mar, 05:15 PM

Hartlepool manager Danny Wilson is facing more injury woe as he attempts to secure safety in League One following injuries to two more players.Midfielder Gary Liddle (thigh) and striker James Brown (knee) were both forced from the field in Pools 3-1 defeat at the hands of Swansea.

Wilson admitted that it is typical for things to go against you when you are in need of points and said: "We're sick of saying it but every week we seem to be falling foul of injuries and decisions.

"James Brown took a heavy whack on the knee and Gary Liddle has a bad laceration across the top of his thigh - I would have thought he'll be out for quite a while."

The Pools are 12 points from the drop zone with five games to play so a win away against Bristol Rovers at the weekend would book their place in League One next season.
