Ipswich midfielder Gary Roberts has admitted that he is determined to win over the Portman Road crowd after being booed on Saturday.Roberts was an instant hit at Ipswich after signing from Accrington in October 2006, but has fallen out of favour this season and was subject to jeering against QPR when he came on in the 77th minute.
He said: "It kills me. It gets me down, and it was not what I wanted to hear as I was waiting to go on.
"Fans obviously expect more from me, and this is what I will have to do to win them back over.
"My team-mates agree that I have not enjoyed the best of years, but it has not been that bad.
"It hurts, but I must be strong and get through it."
