Talbot adds to misery at Luton

Luton manager Mick Harford has revealed that striker Drew Talbot is set for up to nine months on the sidelines ahead of the trip to Gillingham.Talbot picked up an injury in the recent 1-1 draw with Cheltenham and scans have now revealed the severity of the damage.

Harford said: "Drew Talbot has got anterior cruciate ligament damage and will be out for six to nine months."

Full-back Richard Jackson is also out with a groin injury so Ed Asafu-Adjaye will continue.

Steve Robinson returned to the bench for Saturday's 2-1 win over Crewe after illness and is in contention for a game which Harford admits both sides must win.

He said: "They need to win so they might leave it open at one end. It is a must win game for both teams."
