Bristol City boss Gary Johnson has outlined his plans to take the Robins to the Premier League after pledging his long-term future to the club.Johnson steered the Robins to the play-off final last season before suffering heartbreak at the hands of Hull and has presided over a remarkable few years at Ashton Gate.

The 52-year-old is now more determined than ever to reach the top flight with City.

"We never know what may happen in the future, but certainly my thoughts are with the long-term future of this football club and certainly the chairman's thoughts are as well," Johnson told the club's official website.

"I've said before that I wouldn't be anywhere where I didn't feel there was progress being made.

"The chairman's already made an investment with the new training ground and, in the future, the new stadium. We've got to get to that Premier League."
