Cardiff midfielder Joe Ledley is prepared to bide his time as he harbours dreams of a move to the Premier League.

FOOTBALL 2008-2009 Championship Cardiff City Joe Ledley - 0

The Wales international is one of the most sought after players outside the top flight and Cardiff's failure to make the play-offs added fuel to the speculation that he may leave the club this summer.

But the 22-year-old admits that he will not be too downhearted should nothing occur and said: "Maybe my time will come, but I can only wait to see what happens as the summer progresses.

"Obviously every single player wants to be in the Premier League, and I am no different.

"I thought I was going to make it with Cardiff this season but it all went wrong in the end."

He added: "But I am contracted to Cardiff. There has been no offer of a new one, and I will just carry on doing my best for them as I always have done.

"It won't break my heart if nothing happens. I can look forward to the club moving to a new stadium and hope that what I want to achieve in football I can do at Cardiff.

"But it is going to get even harder with teams like Newcastle coming down, but I still believe that Cardiff have good enough players to achieve promotion next season."

  1. Joe, There's only one place to be next season.....WOLVES. You know it makes sense, they are a young team with ambition, you would do well to consider them, Ask Dave Jones for advice, I'm sure what he tells you would be useful. And don't worry about teams like N.castle, They are in turmoil, and will be doing a LEEDS next season.
