Swansea boss Roberto Martinez is anticipating a tricky test when his side travel to League Two side Chester City on Thursday. The Swans have played a host of pre-season friendlies throughout the summer against Spanish, Swedish and Welsh opposition, but the match at the Deva Stadium will be their first against a fellow Football League side.
Martinez told the club's official website: "It will be a difficult test because it is completely different to what we were doing in Spain.
"In football we have to be adaptable, and that will be a key ingredient if we are going to be competitive in the Championship. It doesn't come any harder to adapt than going from playing Barcelona B at The Miniestadi to Chester City at the Deva Stadium.
Martinez enjoyed a short spell as a player at Chester in the 2006-07 season, and added: "It is a friendly club with a lovely set-up, and it will be really nice to see everyone again."
