Doncaster have confirmed the permanent signing of Manchester City defender Matthew Mills for a club-record fee of £300,000.The 22-year-old centre-half has signed a three-year deal at Keepmoat Stadium.
Mills spent the majority of last season on loan at Doncaster as they gained promotion to the Championship, and he told the club's official website he was delighted to be back.
"It's been quite a long process, but after the play-off final was over, there wasn't really a decision to make on my part," said Mills.
"I always wanted to come here and it was just the case of Manchester City allowing me to.
"With all the experience that I had last year, and the memories of the highs, there has always been a good feeling to come back and now I have, I'm delighted."
