Chris Eagles insists his move to Burnley was in no way related to Cristiano Ronaldo's apparent failure to secure his dream move to Real Madrid. The 22-year-old has signed a three-year deal for an undisclosed fee believed to be in excess of £1million after finally admitting defeat in his fight to become a first-team regular at Old Trafford.
Ronaldo's departure may have paved the way for Eagles to make his mark, but the winger said: "It may have done but you just don't really know.
"I need to concentrate on myself and I don't need to worry about whether someone is leaving.
"He's a great player and I wish him all the best whatever he does."

Adios CHRIS but concerned by the quality we r releasing especially on that left side!Remember we let Kieran go last term i hope its not bcoz of those two unpredictable Portuguese boys. And by the way when is Manucho coming back frm loan i guarantee you he is a great talent
I am sorry for him, the truth is he is not good enough for Man Utd, it was better he left than to be confined to the bench as training material. g'luck chris
Well said "Adekola A" - nothing more to add
Well I like Chris Eagle's positive attitude. He seems to have a success drive which I believe all great players have; he is definitely one of the players I'll be watching out for this season.
