Watford manager Adrian Boothroyd has admitted that he is set to offer trialist Ulises De La Cruz a contract to the Ecuadorian.he former Aston Villa and Reading right-back put in a solid performance in the 2-1 defeat at MK Dons and may have earned himself a deal to stay at Vicarage Road.

Boothroyd said: "Ulises has done well for us, it may be that he's earned himself a contract, we'll have to wait and see.

"He's only been with us for a week and a half but he's enthusiastic and he's just what I want on the pitch."
