Lincoln City midfielder Lee Frecklington insists he is relishing the competition for places in the Imps midfield this season. The 22-year-old Academy graduate is battling the likes of Stefan Oakes, Scott Kerr and Martin Pembleton for a starting slot against Rotherham on the opening day, and says he is looking forward to the challenge.
Frecklington told the Lincolnshire Echo: "It's brilliant to have that competition, and I'm a firm believer that you can only ever improve if you push yourself.
"The quality of players we have in the team means that we have two players competing for every position.
"It will be tough to break into the team, but I am looking forward to proving I deserve a starting place."
