Mixu Paatelainen has told a number of players they have no future at Hibernian as their pre-season campaign continues to distress fans.Hibs, who host Middlesbrough on Saturday, have failed to score since April.
A 4-0 aggregate defeat by Intertoto Cup opponents Elfsborg was followed by a 6-0 thrashing by Barcelona.
And results have not improved against lower-league opposition, with defeat by Cowdenbeath followed by a 3-0 humbling against Clyde last night.
Paatelainen told the Evening News: "There are eight or nine players I believe are not good enough, simple as that.
"I have spoken to each of them and told them it would be better if they were to seek a position elsewhere.
"They will not play for this football club and it does not help anyone because we have too many players.
"If they want to sit it out for a year or two their career may be finished, so those players should look to themselves because they will not play here."

Take a long hard look at the manager! A total waste of space,as his management skills prove. What a down turn in the team since he arrived. Still,as long as the players are made the scapegoats his position will no doubt be secure. Thats what happens when you get a manager on the cheap.
