Sunderland boss Roy Keane has blasted Premier League new boys Stoke over their 'bloody disgraceful' treatment of goalkeeper Marton Fulop. The Potters looked set to sign the Hungarian after agreeing a fee with the Black Cats earlier this month.
However, Stoke were unable to agree personal terms with Fulop and they pulled out of the deal before signing Thomas Sorensen on a free transfer.
Fulop has now been forced to return to the Stadium of Light and Keane is furious at how the Potters have conducted themselves in the whole episode.
"They took him for a trial, made him an offer and he asked for a bit more - but they said that's it," Keane told The Sun.
"It's a bloody disgrace to treat a player like that."

Stoke have been winding the lad up for weeks over a move. They made an offer, he asked for more and they pull out of the deal. So now it's wrong to ask for a bit more than you're offered? Stoke obviously don't like bartering. Marton's lucky anyway... he doesn't want to be playing Championship football 2008 - 2009 and he would with Stoke. Mark my words.
Two faced Kean. He berated the player for not making up his mind about joining STOKE.
the FEE WAS MORE IMPORTANT THAN THE player
Coming from someone who deliberately broke Alfie Haaland's leg - its a bit rich
Keane says its a bloody disgrace to treat a player like this, isn't that exactly what Martin O'neil has done with Gareth Barry?
