Terriers double decision soon

Thu 31 Jul, 01:15 PM

Huddersfield Town boss Stan Ternent will decide whether to hand David Unsworth and Paul Gerrard deals by the end of the week.Former Everton, West Ham, Sheffield United and Wigan defender Unsworth, 34, has been on trial with the Terriers and featured in a behind-closed-doors friendly against Accrington. Unsworth was released by Burnley at the end of last season.

Veteran goalkeeper Gerrard appeared in the second half of the match.

Ternent said: "David Unsworth played at left-back and looks in good shape, while Paul Gerrard took over in goal for the second half, so I'll be making my mind up on those two in the not too distant future."

He added: "I do have a few enquiries which are pending and we'll have to see what happens. These things don't happen overnight, unfortunately, but they are ongoing."
