SATURDAY
The Reebok faithful thought Nicolas Anelka had played his last game at the Reebok, but the Frenchman's new contract means he is staying - until January, at least. Everton have added firepower up front in the form of Yakubu, while a familiar face could return to midfield, with on-loan Thomas Gravesen set to deuptise for Lee Carsley.
Dejan Stefanovic was a deadline-day signing from Portsmouth and could go straight into the Fulham XI following the sale of Zat Knight to Aston Villa. Michael Dawson and Younes Kaboul are both close to making their return from injury, with Dawson the more likely to start at Craven Cottage, while Didier Zokora may replace Tom Huddlestone.
Changes are guaranteed from Rafa Benitez following the demolition of Toulouse. First-choice strike duo Fernando Torres and Andriy Voronin should start, while Yossi Benayoun's excellent midweek display could see him keep his place ahead of Jermaine Pennant. Robert Earnshaw may return to the Derby XI ahead of Craig Fagan.
Middlesbrough v Birmingham City
Yakubu-less Boro look lightweight up front, although Mido has been joined by fellow Egyptian Mohamed Shawky. The home side could line up unchanged from last week's Newcastle game. Birmingham missed out on Peter Luccin but have Mohammed Kallon on trial. Cameron Jerome keeps his place after two goals last week.
Newcastle United v Wigan Athletic
Steven Carr is out with a hamstring injury for Newcastle. Sam Allardyce must decide whether to give Claudio Cacapa his debut and shot David Rozehnal to right-back, or rely on Nolberto Solano. Wigan should have Antoine Sibierski back following a minor injury, and boast two members of the Dutch squad in Denny Landzaat and Mario Melchiot.
Reading v West Ham
Dave Kitson is back for the Royals following his red card against Manchester United on the opening day, and may come straight in for the injured Shane Long with Leroy Lita also in contention. Nicky Shorey should play if he is still a Reading player, otherwise he will sit with the West Ham bench along with the Hammers' massive injured contingent.
Manchester United v Sunderland 5.15pm
The managers will make the headlines at Old Trafford as Sir Alex Ferguson takes on Roy Keane. Cristiano Ronaldo is still suspended but Louis Saha should make the bench. With Greg Halford suspended, Keane could make room for an immediate debut for Danny Higginbotham. Kenwyne Jones will make the bench.
SUNDAY
Arsenal v Portsmouth 1.30pm
The Gunners are still without goalkeeper Jens Lehmann, as well as defenders William Gallas and Emmanuel Eboue. Bakary Sagna is fit again, and looks likely to start. Sagna's opposite number Glen Johnson could make his debut as a fully fledged Portsmouth player after moving from Chelsea, which could push former Arsenal man Lauren into the Pompey midfield.
Aston Villa v Chelsea 4pm
Of the two new centre backs Martin O'Neill has signed this week, only Zat Knight is eligible, as Curtis Davies has hamstring trouble. Chelsea have lost Frank Lampard to a thigh strain, but Andriy Shevchenko is fit again and likely to start on the bench.
Blackburn Rovers v Manchester City
Rovers' potent strike force of Benni McCarthy and Roque Santa Cruz should start together after both were rested in midweek. Robbie Savage and David Dunn could also make their returns. Kasper Schmeichel will come back into the City goal after Sven-Goran Eriksson gave Joe Hart a game in the Carling Cup.
