Arsenal were beaten away from home for the first time in 2009 when they came unstuck at Old Trafford at the weekend.
Chelsea 3-0 Burnley
Chelsea have started a Premier League season with four straight wins for a third time. In 2004 they recorded four wins before drawing 0-0 at Aston Villa in their fifth match and in 2005 the Blues started with nine victories in a row before drawing 1-1 at Everton. Their starting line-up had an average age of 29 years and 291 days - the oldest in the division this season.
Nicolas Anelka has now scored 22 league goals for Chelsea - one more than he scored for Bolton Wanderers. He is currently one short of the 23 he netted for Arsenal. Ashley Cole scored his first league goal for Chelsea at Stamford Bridge, and his first home league goal in seven years since he netted in Arsenal's 5-2 win against West Brom at Highbury on August 27 2002.
Blackburn 0-0 West Ham
Blackburn have picked up one point from their opening three league matches this season - equalling their worst Premier League record after four matches, set in 1996, 2004 and 2006.
This was West Ham's first goalless away draw in the league in seven months since a game at Arsenal on January 31.
Bolton 2-3 Liverpool
Liverpool have conceded seven goals in their opening four matches this season - equalling their record at this stage in a Premier League season. They conceded seven goals in four matches in 2001-02.
Kevin Davies scored the opener - his last six league goals have come at the Reebok Stadium. Bolton's Sean Davis became the first player to be sent off in the Premier League this season. With the red card coming on the fourth matchday of the season, it is the longest wait in Premier League history for a sending off.
Stoke 1-0 Sunderland
Dave Kitson scored his first league goal for Stoke in his 19th match. This was also his first top division goal in over a year, since scoring in Reading's 4-0 win at Derby County in May 2008.
Stoke kept back-to-back clean sheets for only the second time in the Premier League.
Tottenham 2-1 Birmingham
Tottenham have won their last eight league home matches - their longest run of home wins in the Premier League and longest at all since a club-record 14 consecutive top-flight home wins from January to October 1987.
Peter Crouch scored his first goal for Tottenham and second against Birmingham - he netted in Liverpool's 2-2 draw at Birmingham in April 2008. Aaron Lennon scored the 95th-minute winner for Tottenham - the latest goal in the Premier League this season.
Wolves 1-1 Hull
Wolves boss Mick McCarthy is still without a Premier League home win as a manager in a total of 21 matches in charge of Wolves and Sunderland. Richard Stearman scored Wolves' first top-flight goal at Molineux in five years, since Henri Camara netted in their 2-1 victory against Everton in May 2004.
Geovanni scored for Hull after two minutes and 11 seconds - the quickest goal in the Premier League this season. It was only the second scored by a Brazilian player this season - Denilson scored for Arsenal in their 6-1 win at Everton on the opening weekend. Hull defender Steven Mouyokolo was booked after eight minutes of this match - the quickest of the season.
Man Utd 2-1 Arsenal
Arsenal lost their unbeaten record away from home in 2009. They were the only Premier League team unbeaten away this year before the defeat. Arsenal lost after taking the lead in the Premier League for the first time in 11 months, since they lost 2-1 at home against Hull after scoring first on September 27 2008.
Arsenal lost for the first time in the league with Andrei Arshavin in the starting line-up. Arshavin scored his seventh league goal for Arsenal - six of these have come away from home.
Wayne Rooney scored his first Premier League penalty at the third attempt. He previously missed in Manchester United's 5-2 home win against Crystal Palace (December 2004) and 4-1 win at Aston Villa (October 2007).
Portsmouth 0-1 Manchester City
Manchester City kept a clean sheet and are still the only Premier League team to not have conceded a goal. City equalled their club record of winning four successive Premier League matches. Emmanuel Adebayor has scored in all three matches for Man City this season. He is the 10th player to score in three successive matches in the top flight in 2009.
This is the second time in English top flight that Portsmouth have lost their first four matches of the season. In 1953-54 Portsmouth collected their first point on the fifth matchday.
Everton 2-1 Wigan Athletic
Everton took their first points of the season and are level on points with Wigan. Both teams have the same goal difference, but Everton have a game in hand.
Paul Scharner scored his fourth goal against Everton, the most against any club. His first goal was also against Everton, on January 31 2006.
Aston Villa 2-0 Fulham
Danny Murphy's streak of playing in 73 consecutive league matches came to an end because of a calf injury. He held the current longest streak for outfield players. Bolton midfielder Fabrice Muamba now holds the current longest streak of playing in consecutive matches (72) for an outfield player.
John Pantsil scored the fastest own-goal of the season. The last time an own-goal was scored this fast was on May 11 2009, when Habib Beye - who played for Villa at the weekend - scored in the third minute.
