Bristol City manager Gary Johnson has not ruled out adding to his squad before the transfer window closes on Tuesday.
Despite striker Nicky Maynard's fine start to the season, Johnson is known to want to add another forward to his squad after allowing Lee Trundle to join Swansea and also losing Andrius Velicka to injury.
"We've made enquiries for a couple of players and we're now waiting to see what happens," Johnson told the Bristol Evening Post.
"Very often, things happen on deadline day itself and that could be the case with us.
"We're looking and it would be nice to add to our squad if we can before the close of business on Tuesday."
Former Stoke striker Vincent Pericard and ex-Arsenal man Quincy Owusu-Obeyie have both been on trial at Ashton Gate but are unlikely to be offered a deal.
