Former Italy winger Mauro Camoranesi has left Juventus for Bundesliga side Stuttgart.

A 2006 World Cup winner with Italy, the 33-year-old Camoranesi was in Stuttgart for talks on Monday night and a medical on Tuesday to complete a move just before the August 31 transfer deadline.

"Camoranesi is tactically very good," Gross said. "He brings much experience and has a big personality."

Stuttgart said neither club would reveal any more details of the transfer of the 33-year-old, who has been hit by injuries in the past two years.

Stuttgart are in desperate need of reinforcement after failing to win any points in their first two league games.

They have also lost the services of new signing for around three months Johan Audel was sent in for ankle surgery.

The French winger, who joined from Valenciennes earlier in August, is set to return "at the end of October" according to Gross.
