A look at how the finalists reached the Poker Race Trophy grand final in Vienna on 29th November.

The 2008 Poker Race Trophy began in sunny Curitiba in Brazil while Europe was still feeling the cold winter weather. Latvian 4erkess got the better of CheckNorris in the Heads-up and was the first to book a seat at the final table.

2. Spain - DoggyP75 (Finland):

He was calm and concentrated, and that at the action-packed race track in Valencia. While his opponents were getting aggressive on the televised table, he waited for the right moment and mercilessly took advantage of his opponents' mistakes.

3. Czech Republic - Puggy82 (Scotland):

The competition was strong at the race track in Brno and this win was truly deserved. He played with force in the decisive moments and kept his cool when the action heated up.

4. England - Marky_Crash (Scotland):

Marky was the star of the Poker Race Trophy. He did everything he possibly could to qualify for almost every stage of the Race Trophy. His efforts certainly paid off with a win at Brands Hatch.

5. Germany - VikboBosse (Sweden):

The overwhelming joy shown by VikboBosse at being part of the semi-finals was reason enough to love this player. Despite not having very much poker experience, he kept it all together when it counted and was able to celebrate winning a seat at the final table.

6. Italy - Masterka7x (Poland):

Her play was unpredictable and she reeled in her opponents one by one. At the very last moment, a woman made it through to the final table.
