La Liga - Ronaldo wants Rooney at Madrid

Cristiano Ronaldo believes his former Manchester United team-mate Wayne Rooney should follow him to Real Madrid.

Ronaldo left Old Trafford in the summer for a record £80 million fee to complete a dream move to the Spanish giants and, while admitting Rooney is unlikely to leave England any time soon, he thinks the striker would fit in at the Bernabeu.

"Wayne would be a sensation out here. I think we could do with Rooney to help us out," Ronaldo told The Sun. "He would be brilliant if he came. This is the ideal place for the world's best players and there's little doubt he is one of them."

He added: "Wayne has all the skill and determination you need to make a fine career here.

"He has shown just how good he is over the last few years in England.

"And there's no doubt he would be the same sort of player in Spain. It would be lovely to see him here one day at Real Madrid.

"I realise it would take a lot for him to move from England.

"He loves the country, he loves Manchester and he is a Liverpool boy. And United is a good club for him. But you never know what could happen in the future."

  14. Dynamic, you and Ronaldo should get off the crack. How­ can you say Rooney isn't good enough when Madrid­ have spent 200 million and still can win La Liga. There­ isn't actually one decent striker at Madrid, Raul­ looks good because keepers like Dida come along and­ spill the beans right in front of goal.

    Madrid are­ nothing without Ronaldo, and he wants Rooney because­ his goal tally would triple. Enjoy having Higuain,­ possibly the most incosistant player since Ricardo­ Quaresma.

That sounds about­ right for a player of his class. We couldn't sell­ him for any less. Still a bargain though. We'd be­ giving him away or better still we'll do a swap for­ Ronaldo and you give us £20m. Deal done. You know, what­ do you call it, ...., the same sort of deal that Jose­ did with Barcelona.

  20. Yesterday Ade said something close to that about goners­ player the muppets called him village boy. Today CR7­ says the same thing about rooney, do you guys think­ players are not allowed to have personal opinion?­

    Unfortunately, rooney is not good enough to play for­ Real. He enjoys fraud playing with fergie...if he goes­ to Real, he will forever be on a substitution list.
