Tully goal sets up win
Steve Tully scored his first goal for Exeter to help the Grecians record a 3-0 win over Brentford at St James' Park.
Exeter went ahead after seven minutes when Alex Russell's deep corner was retrieved by Matt Taylor.
He laid the ball off to Bertie Cozic, whose 20-yard shot took a deflection before nestling in the net.
Brentford had their chances to equalise with Carl Cort firing narrowly wide with their best effort of the first half, but it was Exeter who increased their lead on the stroke of half-time through Tully.
Craig Noone's free-kick clipped the wall and the ball found its way to the Tully who hammered a fine first-time volley in off the underside of the crossbar from 12 yards.
Noone made it 3-0 after 69 minutes when he swivelled on the edge of the box and rifled a fine shot into the corner before City striker Marcus Stewart was sent off after receiving a second yellow card 19 minutes from time.
