Gunter ready for Cardiff return

Nottingham Forest full-back Chris Gunter is prepared for a hostile reception when he returns to former club Cardiff on Sunday.

The 20-year-old started his career with the Bluebirds before being signed by Tottenham in January 2008. He has since moved on to Forest and knows that he could be given a torrid time by the home crowd.

He said: "Knowing Cardiff fans, it could go either way. Some of the fans are a bit unpredictable.

"But I am not bothered what reception I get from them to be honest, as long as the Forest fans in the corner of the stadium are behind the team.

"The good thing is that my family will not have to travel far to see the game, they live in Newport, where I was brought up.

"It is only 20 minutes down the road - although they will sit in with the Forest fans now. The main thing for me is to go there and try to win the game, that is the important aim."

  5. As a Tottenham fan as well as the City i was sorry to­ see this lad leave so I hope he plays well and gets a­ good reception but goes back to Nottingham pointless.­ Diolch
